Spanish Host Family

 Spanish Host Family: Almost all our students choose to live with a host family during the first weeks of their program. Spanish families are renowned for their hospitality, sense of humor and enjoyment of life. Students usually feel completely at home with their families and enjoy the unique opportunity to fully integrate into the Spanish family life. The intimate relationship with the family encourages the natural use of every-day Spanish. Staying with a host family is an important and rewarding part of the student's learning process. The students receive their own house key and are only required to bring their own towels. Students can choose half-board or full-board, as accommodation in a single or a double room.
If there is more than one student with a family we will look for an international roommate in order to encourage the use of Spanish 24 hours a day.
Many of our Spanish host families have younger or older children. Students eat with the family and thus participate more directly in a Spanish environment. We recommend this option to our students who wish to live in a more Spanish environment and practise the language. # Single or Double Room

# Laundry services are included in the price of accommodations
# The host family can cater to your special needs or diets. (Specify any special diet needs or restrictions, allergies etc. on your enrollment form so that we can do our best in accommodating them. Please contact us if you have any questions)
 # You can combine your stay in a family and a student apartment (minimum two weeks in each type of accommodation). To select the type of accommodation that suits you best or to inform us of any special (nutritional) needs, you can indicate your preference on the bottom of the registration form.
Important note: Students should arrive on Sunday and leave on Saturday or Sunday. Accommodation is paid for in units of one week. No reduction can be made for part of a week.

Student Apartment Accommodations. If you would prefer to live in an apartment with other international students whil e you learn Spanish in Barcelona, Alhambra.I. offers well-placed student apartments at no more than a 30 minute walk from the school (10-20 minutes by bus/metro). All student apartments are furnished and have a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. They are not luxurious, but have everything you may need: a television, stove, refrigerator and washing machine. In choosing this indedpendent option you will need to bring bed linens and towels.
